Dr. Babu is a Board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist serving patients in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Dr. Babu earned his medical degree from St. Paul’s College in India. He completed his residency and a hematology and oncology fellowship at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York.

Dr. Babu chose the field of oncology because of his commitment to advancing research and science. He believes the greatest demand for specialized skills lies in the search for new and effective cancer treatments.

He appreciates working at Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology because the team shares a profound sense of responsibility to its patients, viewing their work as more than just a job. As a leader in the organization’s research efforts, Dr. Babu collaborates with colleagues to provide cutting-edge treatments close to home. Dr. Babu is especially enthusiastic about the clinical trials offered at Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology. As the Director of Research at Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology, Dr. Babu leads numerous cancer trials, including groundbreaking Phase 1 “first-in-human” studies. With more than 70 publications, he continues to contribute significantly to the medical community’s understanding of hematology-oncology.

Dr. Babu also serves on the boards of Lutheran Hospital and the Exigent Research, further demonstrating his dedication to improving patient care and outcomes.

Outside of work, Dr. Babu enjoys traveling and playing pickleball.
