Dr. Zhang is a Board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist serving patients in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Dr. Zhang earned his medical degree from Shandong Medical University in China. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern in Austin and his medical oncology and hematology fellowship at Ohio State University. He also served as a postdoctoral research associate at the Lineberger Cancer Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Zhang has a special interest in genitourinary cancers, including prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers. He is also highly experienced in treating advanced skin cancer and sarcomas, rare cancers that develop in connective tissues such as bone, cartilage, fat, blood vessels, muscles, nerves, and deep skin tissues.
In addition to his medical training, Dr. Zhang holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the Interdepartmental Nutrition Program at Purdue University in West Lafayette and a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Peking University Health Science Center in China.
Dr. Zhang’s passion for oncology began in medical school and deepened during his Ph.D. studies in nutrition and cancer. Today, his primary focus is applying cutting-edge research to everyday cancer care, ensuring his patients benefit from the latest scientific advancements.
