He treats patients with all types of cancer but has a special interest in gynecologic, urologic, and gastrointestinal oncology.

Dr. Carr chose the field of oncology because he finds it deeply rewarding to guide patients through the challenge of a cancer diagnosis and treatment journey. He feels fortunate to work in a practice that prioritizes patients and delivers advanced, personalized care tailored to each individual.

Dr. Carr values being part of Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology because of its patient-first philosophy and its ability to provide cutting-edge care in a cost-effective way that benefits the entire community.

He is optimistic about the future of cancer treatment, noting that there has never been a more promising time for patients. Treatment options for many cancers have expanded, and advances in supportive care allow patients to feel better during treatment. Additionally, the development of targeted therapies and immunotherapies has reduced or even eliminated the need for traditional chemotherapy in many cases, improving both the effectiveness of treatment and patients’ quality of life.
