Lisa’s Story: Finding Exceptional Care and Lifelong Support

While all cancer diagnosis are difficult to hear, sometimes they really do seem to come out of the blue. Lisa Witherspoon had no symptoms, no family history of cancer and very low risk factors. Yet there she was, sitting in a doctor’s office hearing her diagnosis for breast cancer after a routine exam.

A lumpectomy surgery was quickly arranged, but when it came time for follow-up cancer care, Lisa had no idea where to turn. “I was lucky enough to not have any experience with cancer, so I turned to my friends. Now, ten years later, Lisa remains cancer-free.
