Why Did You Choose Oncology?

I chose palliative care to assist patients with improving their quality of life. I not only get to know patients but also their families and come alongside them during difficult times in their lives. I hope that working together with them, I can assist them in improving quality of life whatever that looks like for the patient and family.

What Do You Enjoy Most About Working at FWMOH?

I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families, it’s humbling to be a part of a person’s oncology journey knowing I can help improve their quality of life. FWMOH has a wonderful team of providers and staff who care about the whole patient and also their family. We go the extra mile to make sure our patients are cared for and comfortable during difficult times. We also enjoy celebrating in their victories. You can expect to feel like a family here throughout your journey.

What Excites You About the Future?

It’s exciting to see the changes with treatments, but also the growth of our palliative care department and how we can reach more patients to assist with symptom management and provide them with resources to help them in their oncology journey.
